Basingstoke, Hants (Sep 24, 2023) – Team TaylorMade Athlete Ryo Hisatsune fired a brilliant bank nine of 30 consisting of seven threes to claim the Cazoo Open de France title, his first win on tour.

The 21-year-old from Japan entered the final day four shots off the lead, but three birdies in four holes at the start of the back nine jumped him into a share of the lead, and he did not look back from there, finishing with a 5-under-par 66 to win by two.

Ryo had his TP5x golf ball on a string all week and gained +2.17 stokes approach vs the field average around a difficult golf course where your iron play has to be on form to contend. This was highlighted where with the help of his P·7MC irons, he hit 79% of greens in regulation all week.

After turning pro three years ago this is Ryo’s rookie year on tour after gaining his card at Qualifying School last year. He finished second in his very first tournament of the season at the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship and has subsequently added five more top tens before claiming his maiden win in France, moving him to 11th in the Race to Dubai Rankings.
